WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You must have a helmet—you won’t be allowed on the ride without one. Proper clothing for all weather conditions and a small backpack or bike bag for supplies is recommended. A multi-geared quality bicycle will make the tour much more enjoyable.

Saturday, August 11
25 Mile “Newark Valley Days Quarter Century” –
Flat
Follow the Owego Scenic Railroad to Newark Valley Days. Visit a train depot,
listen to music on the green, or join the parade.
45 Mile “Coffee and Wine Loop” – Flat (1
gradual hill)
Ride past valley farmlands on West Creek Road to Richford. Stop for a wine tasting
and coffee in Newark Valley on the way home.
63 Mile “Farmlands Metric Century” – Flat
to Rolling
Follow the rolling farmlands of Central Chapel and Old 76 roads to Speedsville.
Tour an nineteenth century farm in Newark Valley.
100 Mile “White Church Century” – Flat to
Hilly
Count the white churches as you explore eastern Tioga County then roll over
to Candor via Old 76 and White Church Roads.

40 Mile “Depot Run” – Rolling to Flat

61 Mile “State Line Metric Century – Hilly to
Flat
Climb the hills on the Montrose Turnpike, pass a cactus farm, then follow the
Susquehanna River to Athens, PA
