Humble Hill Farm was founded in 1999 in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. The farm began with 21 acres and only about 2 acres of good tillable farmland. With careful land management, our master gardener Rick Tarantelli produced an abundance of crops year after year from only a 1/2 acre of intensely farmed land. Humble Hill has been selling at the Ithaca Farmers Market for seven years.

In 2008 Humble Hill farm annexed 150 acres of land from the farm that shares our northern border, thus beginning a new chapter in the growth and development of the farm. In 2009 we began selling shares to our CSA. (Community Supported Agriculture.)

We are a small, horse-powered farm on a forested hillside in Tioga County.  This year we will again be offering a wide variety of organic poultry, meats, vegetables, and herbs. Our farming methods are based on a belief in diversified, small family farms with a respect for the land and the animals we raise on it.  Our land is managed organically; increasing fertility with compost, controlled grazing, and natural minerals. No chemical or synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are ever used.

Our pigs, poultry, eggs, vegetables, herbs, and pastures are certified organic by NOFA-NY Certified Organic LLC.  All of our products are available both on farm and at the Saturday Ithaca Farmers’ Market (April-Dec.). Fresh chicken and turkey must be pre-ordered and picked up on farm. Eggs are available anytime from our self-serve egg cooler.
