Bement-Billings Farmstead1800's living history museum.  Crafts/skills (blacksmithing, herb garden, open hearth cooking, woodworking, candle making, textiles) performed by costumed docents.  Hands-on activities.  Built in 1810, the only living history museum in the Southern Tier, available May-October for special farmstead tours.  Tour may be expanded by adding the Newark Valley Depot to the itinerary.  Home of the annual Apple and Spring Festivals.  Hours: Sat-Sun.  12-4 pm,  July-September,  May-October hours by appointment.

frisbie homestead "Experience life in Halsey Valley-1900"  Frisbie family items from the past are assembled into a hands-on exhibit that supports the NYS mandated 3rd grade curriculum.  A great field trip!  Call for details, ask for Arlene.  Open May-Oct.  Tues.-Fri. by appt., Sat 10 am-4 pm.

Spencer Historical MuseumDedicated to preserving the history of Spencer, NY. Large room of artifacts, displays, records, and geneology of the people and town. Town Hall Bicentennial Murals-79 East Tioga Street.   Open June-August on Saturdays and Sundays 2-5 p.m. Other times by appointment.

Newark Valley Depot MuseumThe Depot was built in 1879 by the Southern Central Railroad and it contains railroad memorabilia. Passengers and passers-by will enjoy this depot museum with exhibits of local commercial and social history, and a panoramic model of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Line. Historical information about Newark Valley. Open by appointment.

Tioga County Historical SocietyTravel through time in the museum and gift shop or enjoy walking tours through our historic villages.  The museum presents exhibits and programs highlighting local agriculture and industry, paintings, photographs, textiles, decorative arts, military, firemen's items, prehistoric stone tools and more.  Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM;  Library Tuesday - Friday, 1 - 4 PM, Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM.
