Learn Native American History The Susquehanna River Archeological Center is dedicated to education, research and preservation of the region's Native American archaeological, cultural and historical assets for the communities within the Twin Tier Region of Southeastern NY and Northeastern PA. Evergreen Cemetery The Evergreen Cemetery in Owego, NY has always been a local attraction, particularly the SaSaNa Loft Monument which shows a beautiful panoramic view of the village. Not only is the peaceful cemetery visually attractive, it is also historically significant to the Village of Owego. The cemetery is the final resting place to many important individuals who have shaped Owego and Tioga County into what it is today. Claim to Fame It was in a second floor room of his Owego home that world famous parliamentarian, General Henry Martyn Robert wrote his most important work, Robert’s Rules of Order, Revised in 1915. General Robert, who made Owego his retirement home, also lived at various times at 250 and 255 Front Street and several other Owego addresses, and he wrote several books on parliamentary procedures in those places.

The Owego Riverwalk A long-awaited Owego Riverwalk has been completed along the shores of the Susquehanna River in downtown Owego, NY.  The Riverwalk begins at Ahwaga Park (a small park at the eastern end of the block of connected commercial buildings known as Riverow) and passes behind Riverow under the Court Street Bridge and continues along the existing Village riverfront park known as Draper Park (a distance of approximately 1,200 feet.)  The Riverwalk was officially opened with a ribbon cutting on February 8, 2010.
