"Great Guns" Exhibit -

| This will be the first time in more than ten years that the museum will display the entire firearms collection. More than thirty historic firearms will be shown. The oldest gun in the exhibit is over two hundred years old and even the newest is about one hundred years old. The exhibit will feature firearms used by some of the earliest pioneers to settle in Tioga County, which was a heavily forested wilderness at the time. One of the hightlights of the firearms exhibit will be the gun given by former President Teddy Roosevelt to Owego naturalist Todd Loring after their safari in Africa. The exhibit will run from March 2 to mid June 2010. Open 10 am-4 pm, Tues.-Sat. |
